Skin Lightening Cream
Skin Lightening creams are often prescribed by dermatologists to treat brown spots or uneven pigmentation on the skin. Generally, the effects of skin lightening creams are gentle and gradual. It usually takes weeks of continued use to notice improved appearance. Hydroquinone is a common agent in skin lightening cream and, if used diligently, can greatly reduce dark spots on the skin.
Skin lightening creams are prescribed by your dermatologist and should only be used as directed by your doctor. Your doctor may prescribe your skin lightning cream for a few months at a time and may also prescribe retinoids like tretinoin to achieve optimal results. Our favorite product combines hydroquinone, a retinoid and a low-potency steroid all in the same cream. The steroid helps with the dryness, redness and peeling that the other two products alone may cause. With this added, there are very few people who can’t use it.
