Molluscum Contagiosum is a viral skin disease that becomes apparent when the patient experiences small bumps. The disease is contagious and can be passed from one individual to another via skin-to-skin contact. It is quite common, especially in children.
The disease can also be confused with several other skin conditions. If you suspect you may have this and/or have been in close contact with an individual diagnosed or treated for Molluscum Contagiosum, it is best to be examined by a Dermatologist in order to figure out the best treatment plan.
