Rosacea is a common skin disease that can present with increased blushing and/or if a patient tends to flush more often than other people. As rosacea spreads, it will often display a more persistent reddening of the skin. Typically, the redness displayed by the patient begins with the face, but can extend to areas around the ear, chest and sometimes back.
Rosacea itself can even be broken into four subcategories: Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea, Papulopustular rosacea, Phymatous rosacea and Ocular rosacea. Symptoms and severity can differ among patients. While rosacea does not have a definitive cure, there are many treatments available to treat the disease such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL).
